Meet Dr. Alexandra Clark

BSc (Hons) Applied Psychology, ClinPsychD

APHRA Reg: PSY0002490657

Dr. Alexandra Clark is an experienced Clinical Psychologist dedicated to helping adults, young people, and their families, create meaningful and lasting change

As a Clinical Psychologist with a variety of experience in clinical settings, she has dedicated her career to supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging moments. Over the years, she has worked with adults, children, young people, and their families to improve their mental and emotional well-being and help them reach their full potential.

Her background spans a broad spectrum of clinical settings, largely within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), including inpatient and outpatient child and adult mental health services, as well as forensic rehabilitation services. Dr. Clark has been working in private practice for several years and is currently based in Caringbah, Sutherland Shire, NSW, offering in-person sessions and Telehealth sessions across Australia.

In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to academia as a guest lecturer and co-authored peer-reviewed papers. Her therapeutic approach blends evidence-based practice with a holistic perspective. Dr. Clark believes in looking beyond diagnosis, working collaboratively with her clients, and treating the person as a whole. She recognises that each individual is unique and that their experiences extend beyond clinical labels. Whether supporting young people in crisis or adults on a journey of long-term healing, she focuses on understanding the underlying causes of distress and tailoring care to each individual’s needs. This allows her to create a supportive and personalised therapeutic experience.

For over a decade, Dr. Clark has also been dedicated to the study of yoga and is a qualified yoga teacher. She has a passion for learning about different cultures and has travelled to India, Bali, and Southeast Asia to learn from esteemed teachers and immerse herself in diverse healing traditions. These experiences have deepened her understanding of how trauma is stored in the body and how other cultures integrate different methods to support healing. This has reinforced her commitment to integrating Eastern philosophy into her therapeutic work, providing a powerful experience that nurtures both body and mind.
